These Event Terms and Conditions ("Event Terms") apply to all events organised by She Bytes Back (SBB) alongside partner organised events. They are supplementary to our general Terms of Service, and in case of any conflict, the Event Terms will prevail.

Payment and Confirmation

For paid events, full payment must be received before the event date. Upon receipt of payment, a confirmation email with event details will be sent to the registered attendee(s). Registration is required for all events, including free ones, and a confirmation email will still be sent in those cases. Places at events are only confirmed upon receipt of our written confirmation email.

SBB reserves the right to refuse admission to any event at its sole discretion. Additionally, SBB reserves the right to implement or change the pricing structure for any event at any time.

Cancellations

Attendees unable to attend an event are requested to cancel their booking to allow others on the waiting list to attend.

Event cancellations and refunds will be handled based on what is expressly stated in the specific event details.

SBB reserves the right to cancel any event at its sole discretion.

Event Admission and Programme

SBB reserves the right to deny entry to an event if:

• Payment hasn't been received by the event date.

• The attendee arrives late.

• Registration for the event has closed.

Attendees must present proof of booking upon entry. Entry may be denied if proof is not provided.

SBB reserves the right to change the event program, price, and/or speakers without prior notice. We also reserve the right to cancel an event entirely, in which case our liability is limited to a full refund of the registration fees already paid.

Attendees attending events hosted by third-party providers must comply with the terms and conditions set by those providers.

Photographs and Recordings

She Bytes Back takes photos and/or videos at its events and use them for promotional purposes, including but not limited to:

• Publication on our website and publications

• Training materials

• Social media

• Other marketing materials

Your image or a recording of you may be used in such materials.

If you do not wish for your image to be used in this way, please notify the events team by emailing amber@ambershand.co.uk before the event.

You can ask She Bytes Back to stop using your images at any time, in which case it will not be used in future publications but will continue to appear in publications already in circulation.

Data Protection

SBB takes data protection seriously. We will handle your personal data, provided for event registration purposes, according to current data protection legislation. We will use this data to manage bookings, deliver the event, process any necessary follow-up actions, and for event communications.

This data may be used for:

• Booking administration (including refunds and cancellations)

• Sending event-related communications

• Invoicing and payment processing

• Creating attendee lists

• Gathering feedback and conducting polls

Occasionally, we may contact you to gather feedback on our events to improve our services.

We may share your personal data with presenters, venues, trainers, sponsors, partners, and other members of the SBB community, but only as necessary for event delivery purposes.

Liability

SBB does not accept liability for any direct or indirect losses or damages suffered by any person or attendee at an event, arising from attendance at the event or refusal of entry (by SBB or a third party) in accordance with these Event Terms.
